Did you know?
The government of Mauritius announced on May 13, 2020 that there were no longer any active cases of Covid-19 in the country. Since then, only a few people repatriated from abroad have been tested positive and placed in quarantine before they could mix with the population. The country remains the safest destination in the world in these times of pandemic. A true label of confidence for tourism
On October 1, 2020, the borders will reopen
But only for long stays. Tourists will have to present a negative Covid test before they can board the plane and then, once in Mauritius, undergo a 14-day quarantine in a government-approved hotel and pay the cost of around € 1,000 to € 1,200.
At the end of this period, they will be able to move freely around the country and enjoy their vacation.
Come and spend a warm winter in Mauritius
Now might be the time to turn off the heat and come and spend a warm winter in Mauritius, if you are retired, for example, or if you can work on the Internet. We regularly welcome many Europeans who tell us that spending three months on vacation in Mauritius does not cost them more than staying in their country. Indeed, the cost of living is much lower.
The Residence Les Alizés offers exceptional rates (from -50% to -70% depending on the length of your stay). They more than make up for the quarantine costs. Enjoy it!
